I am reading a very well written and amazing book by Julietta Singh which I got from my friend Kirstine. In a letter to her six-year-old daughter, she envisions a new world in which we have to break from the conventions we inherited. After having spent some summer weeks with my grandchildren, and with my children, this book really speaks to my condition. I find it hard to think about the future in which they will live on this earth. But when I see the grandchildren play and happily embracing the world and our children creating their healthy, life affirming communities where they live, I feel hopeful that they will find ways in which to survive in this world they inherit.
