The book “Build the City – Perspectives on commons and culture” is a collaboration between Krytyka Polityczna, the EU Cultural Foundation, the ECF labs and the partners in the action research network Connected Action for the Commons.
It is an inspiring collection of texts, studies, interviews and examples of projects concerning the Commons in the urban, suburban and also in more rural areas.
This is the kind of book which gives me inspiration while I am planning my own urban, social and cultural projects since I often find myself feeling alone in my efforts.
To be part of ECF’s Idea Camp in Botkyrka in September was also a great joy – and hard work. The experience made a great impact on me. Right now I find the Camp experience is inspiring me while I am working on my project plans for The Ekenäs Story Caravan – more about that project soon…..
The Idea camp is a collaborative working platform organized within the framework of Connected Action for the Commons, a network and action research program led by ECF together with six cultural organisations from across Europe: Culture 2 Commons –Alliance Operation City, Clubture Network, Right to the City – (Croatia), Les Tetes de l’Art (France), Krytyka Polityczna (Poland), Oberliht (Moldova), Platoniq – Goteo (Spain), and Subtopia (Sweden). The camp was arranged the first time a year ago in Marseille.
