Maj Lind competition in Finland – many 100.000 finger movements

We had taped the Maj Lind competition and watched it this grey Sunday morning on Finland. It is amazing!  In many ways, artistically of course and for me as a non-professional it seems just overwhelming and hard to understand technically that anyone in such a skillful way can move their fingers across the keyboard so fast – and remember all the parts, sequences and notes. We counted that Sergei Redkin from Russia, who won the competition 2012, for instance put one of his fingers down tens of thousands of  times or maybe close to 100.000 times during his 3 concerts. All his concerts below for you to enjoy.  And if you take the time to do that try to connect a good loudspeaker to the computer – it is so much more enjoyable.
