Jonas – Studio Jonas Lutz – will show his work at Salone Satellite at the Milan Design Fair April 12 – 17, Milan, Italy.

I will give you a live report next week but for now here is his brand new homesite and below his new Shield lamp with colored printed lampshade options and the chair form his new Leaf furniture series.

Shield lamp

I discovered the leaf-shaped profile while messing around with a router in my workshop. All products in the leaf series explore the possibilities of using this profile as a directive element in the design.

Shield Lamp

I often find inspiration for new products or solutions for the living environment in daily interactions with things in my house. The Shield Lamp started as a lighting study in my living room, where I played with light, material and space, while at the same time using the lamp.
